New Strategic Plans in Hazel Crest, Sunnybrook and Fox Lake

New strategic plans were created in Hazel Crest 152.5, Sunnybrook 171 and Fox Lake 114 in the past 18 months.  Each plan is unique to the needs of the district, yet all are committed to the journey to greatness that Jim Collins outlines in Good to Great.  Superintendents Dr. Sheila Harrison-Williams, Dr. Hughes George and John Donnellan assembled representative groups of stakeholders to participate in this engaging process, and the results were impressive.

Leading Major Change in Education: What the Beatles Can Teach Us

JMP Consulting, Ltd. is proud to announce a new Administrator Academy workshop, approved by the State of Illinois.  It is a workshop about the change process, using the career, music and movies of The Beatles as a powerful and exciting analogy. This new and creative learning experience is being offered during the 2012-2013 school year in West Cook, South Cook, DuPage and Lake County Educational Service Centers.

Leading Major Change in Education:  What The Beatles Can Teach Us

"The success of school leaders in effecting significant and sustained change is somewhat sketchy over time. Changes come and go, often failing, fading away or surviving only minimally. This course aims to help school leaders recognize the “big picture” process for change. Using an approach combining research on change leadership in education with a case study of large-scale, fundamental cultural change, participants will view the change process using a new lens."
